Meet the Speaker

Michael Johnson Esq is a shareholder with a firm in Wisconsin whose practice focuses on litigation, primarily in the field of medical malpractice defense. His practice has encompassed state and federal court trial litigation and appeals, administrative proceedings, and professional licensure hearings.
Mr. Johnson’s litigation practice spans a broad spectrum and includes defending individuals and corporations in commercial matters, personal injury litigation, and professional negligence claims. He has handled a wide range of commercial and insurance defense matters, in addition to defending numerous medical malpractice cases. He has significant trial experience in the defense of personal injury cases including medical negligence matters.
Mr. Johnson is a frequent lecturer on risk prevention. He has been asked to speak on several occasions on medical legal issues for the Wisconsin Society of Healthcare Risk Management.
Barbara Levin, BSN, RN, ONC, CMSRN, LNCC is the Clinical Scholar of the orthopaedic trauma unit at Massachusetts General Hospital. The Massachusetts Governor appointed Barbara to the Massachusetts Board of Nursing and she recently completed her third term as the chair where she reviewed and opined on all complaints and licensure issues.
Barbara is a Past President of AALNC and spent 5 years on the AALNC Executive Board. In addition, she has researched, published, and lectured extensively about patient safety, orthopaedics, medical surgical and documentation practices. She also testifies as a national orthopaedics and medical surgical expert. Barbara Levin co-edited and authored many chapters including her recent international publication “Legal Implications in the Care of Orthopaedic Patients: Serious Complications.” She has collaborated with Pat Iyer to develop and host several prior LNC Success ® online conferences.
