Meet the Speakers

Barbara Levin

Barbara J. Levin, BSN, RN, ONC, CMSRN, LNCC, the Clinical Scholar of the orthopedic trauma unit at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Barbara's expertise extends to various legal nursing topics, and she has collaborated with Patricia Iyer on several publications.

As the Chair of the Massachusetts Board of Registered Nurses and the former President of the AALNC, Barbara's knowledge and experience as an expert witness are second to none.

After completing a diploma school of nursing, Pat Iyer MSN RN LNCC earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. She has extensive clinical experience as a medical surgical nurse and entered the legal nurse consulting field in 1987 as a liability nursing expert witness. Over the past 35 + years, she has crafted her skill as an LNC.

As a Past President of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants, she served the profession and expanded her authority and network. She’s written thousands of expert witness and LNC reports, and proofread thousands of reports for her experts for medical malpractice, personal injury, product liability, toxic tort, criminal and other kinds of cases. A prolific author, Pat has written books that were either published by traditional publishers or self-published.
