Use Instagram Reels marketing to grow your LNC business with non-live video.  It’s easier to do than you may think.

IG (Instagram) Reels is Instagram’s response to TikTok. It’s a feature within the app that allows you to record quick 15-second clips with background music, text, and more. Like TikTok, the vibe of these clips is generally more light-hearted, fun, and fast-paced.

This is NOT live video. With Reels you have the ability to re-record until you get it exactly right yet it’s still a powerful way to connect with your audience. If you’re attracted to TikTok but don’t necessarily want to try to go viral or build up a new following, IG Reels could be great option for you.

Show the world your “real” brand by documenting what you do in a day. What are you really like beyond your ‘business’ persona? What is your morning routine? Your nighttime routine? How do you do something specific in your business that clients tend to ask you about? As these are only 15-seconds long, you can film one of these each day of the week or give a call to action to watch a different video or visit your latest blog post for more details.

If you’re the face of your brand, let people get to know you through little snippets. Let them know the REAL you, not just the business you.

  1. Brand your reels. Create a look and feel for your reels. This might include a font and font style.
  2. Craft a storyboard to help “visualize” your Reels. For example, if you plan to share 3 tips about something, where will you stand? Where will you place the text? Where will you place transitions?
  3. Practice! One great thing about Reels is you can record and re-record until your clip looks exactly the way you’d like it to look.

New Reels can be added to your account’s Feed and will ALSO show up in the “Explore” tab for other users. Instagram is currently prioritizing Reels and will put them first in your followers’ feeds depending on your post frequency and current engagement.

If you’re creating content related to your expertise and industry, you’ll develop a relationship with your audience as well as start to be seen as an expert in their eyes.

Don’t worry about when you’ll have time to create all this Reels content; the beauty is you don’t have to create everything from scratch! If you already use TikTok, you can use the exact same video on Reels.

Or you can take a Facebook post and turn it into a Reel. For example, if your Facebook post shares 5 ways to build your credibility, your Reel might include the top 3 ways, which you can show on the screen as text when you edit it.

Like TikTok, Reels also allows you to leverage trends. You can choose audio that’s already trending and add your own video and message. Add hashtags or specific trending songs to your videos to increase the chances of getting found on the Explore tab.
